You Reap What You Sow
April 23rd, 2017
Galatians 6:7-8; II Corinthians 9:6
You don’t need an advanced degree in agriculture to understand the sow-and-reap concept. You know that if you plant an avocado seed you won’t get a peach tree. We easily understand that good or bad consequences result from good and bad choices.
How are your choices shaping up? What kind of habits are you entertaining? Are you sowing discipline so that you’ll one day reap blessings and success, or are you sowing to the flesh, which will reap frustration and disappointment in the long run?
We can’t control everything that happens to us, but making better choices is the first step to a better life. God has given us prayer and His Word so that we’ll be equipped to sow to the Spirt and reap eternal life.
Pray: Jesus, I have goals and dreams, and I know You have plans for my future, too. Let my habits and choices sow to the Spirit rather than to my flesh. Help me become a person of deep, powerful prayer, molding my life after the principles found in Your Word.
