Your Testimony

November 30th, 2016

I Peter 3:15; Revelation 12:10-11

Eventually, if it hasn’t happened already, a non-Christian will try to convince you there is no God or that the Bible isn’t true. Or maybe he’ll ask why you have certain convictions—or why it matters that you honor Jesus with your lifestyle. Maybe someone who doesn’t know God will just need encouragement—a reason to believe there is hope for the gray bleakness that shrouds their own existence.

People may be skeptical of the Word of God, but one thing they can’t deny is your testimony. You know what Jesus has done for you: no one can talk fast enough to convince you that He hasn’t worked in your life. Be prepared to gently and respectfully give your testimony when the situation calls for it. Study the Bible so that you’ll be fully assured of what you believe, and don’t underestimate the power of your testimony.

Revelation says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.” You know the blood of Jesus is powerful: it washed away the filth of your sins! The Bible says your testimony has the same conquering power. You have a testimony! Don’t be afraid to use it.

Pray: God, help me become passionate about my testimony. Reveal to me how I can use this powerful tool to overcome. I want to use my testimony to point others toward you. Remind me of what You’ve delivered and kept me from. Open my eyes to ways I can glorify You with my testimony.
