Happy New Year
January 4th, 2017
I Corinthians 13:11; Galatians 6:7
Each year, as the calendar turns from December to January, we hold high hopes for the future. Each year, for better or worse, life happens.
And then, sometimes, we happen to life.
Paul told the Galatians, “You reap what you sow.” It doesn’t take an advanced degree in agriculture to understand that concept. Good or bad consequences result from good or bad choices. While none of us can completely control our lives, better life choices are key to a better year.
Paul was also the one who said, in essence, that there comes a time in life when you just have to grow up. As you mature, you exchange playtime for responsibility. Making sound, responsible choices pays off in positive consequences. If you make any resolutions for the coming year, let them be summed up in one word: grow!
