Just because God has called you to do something, doesn’t mean you may not have to complete it in the pit - a place where you feel you’re working overtime, yet still no one else notices your accomplishments. Be careful not to resent those times when you feel misplaced in your ministry, for God is never unintentional.

It’s much easier to just get by with the bare minimum. But in order to truly convey God-like love to someone, you have to be willing to make a sacrifice of your time and energy.

Where is your heart rooted? Are you keeping your treasure in a safe and sure place? Or are you throwing it away on meaningless idols?

Or maybe He’ll ask you to step out on faith for a situation that you’ve already deemed impossible. When that happens - dare to answer the call and go out into the deeper waters one more time. Don’t be afraid of failure. God is with you and will honor your obedience!

You have to understand that in many instances, hardships that you face in life are not a direct result of living in sin, but are simply approved or appointed by God as a part of His plan to better you and to impart in you lessons that living an easy life could never teach.

Instead, it should be based off of the fact that we are made in the likeness of the flawless, almighty God. Because we bear God’s image, we should remember to check ourselves before projecting negativity onto who we are.

We can’t win a battle if we don’t know how to properly defend ourselves. It’s no secret that trials and temptations are going to come our way because our world is lost and the enemy loves to try to take our joyful triumph any chance he can get. If we assume that we can face opposition without preparation, we are fooling ourselves. So when struggles do come, we need to be ready for them. Often times, the reason for defeat is solely because of a lack of preparation.

We will inevitably face heartache and become weary sometimes in our lives. But our heavenly Father is so, so good to us. His Word is always true. And he understands the struggles that we face and gives us limitless resilience. Our weakness can be mended by simply serving.
